Mike Petersen - Director
Mike Petersen has a unique level of experience within the emergency services, having held various frontline posts within the Police, Fire and Ambulance Services. Since leaving the ambulance service in favour of a better work life balance, Mike went on to teach Edexcel BTEC Uniformed Public Services subjects within Further Education, and while studying as an Associate Teacher. To maintain his skills acquired within the ambulance service, he continues to respond as a volunteer Community Responder on behalf of the South Western Ambulance NHS Foundation Trust.
Teaching within Further Education, provided a stepping stone into Commercial Training and Development, with Health and Safety being the primary focus, and specialist subject area. A specialism gained from 20 years of experience in various capacities attending emergency incidents, some of which, involving victims of unsafe working practices, and poor fire safety. This is reflected in our promotion of health and safety, taking a moral and common sense approach, adapting to any industry.
Mike Petersen is committed to his Continual Professional Development, and is proud to be a member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, the Institution of Fire Engineers, and the Association of Industrial Road Safety Officers.
